It's not about the Lava Boiz, its about Iowa.  The powers that be have yet to embrace Hip-Hop.  There is not one Major Radio station playing any independent artist music rather there from Iowa, or anywhere else. The Lava Boiz want to help show Iowa that they don't need to be afraid of Hip Hop, its not going anywhere.  It's a Billion dollar industry, and there is talent lying dormant that needs to be exposed.     Shout out to the KUCB show, Wutz Hood Radio,Iowa World Radio, and KDPS, doing their best to keep independent Hip-Hop alive with their Radio stations bumping independent artist from all over the globe including the IA.  Holla at them and request the "I 2 Da Izzo", or that baby makin music "Come On Ma",and if your tired of skinny jeans request "Kill Yourself",  but don't stop there, request it to your favorite DJ's , and call your favorite Major Radio stations that only play mainstream music and request the Lava Boiz, and "If you got that Midwest Pride then keep ya hands high". 

The foundation of the label occurred in 2005 in Phoenix, AZ but the brick lying began in Des Moines, Iowa, beginning in 2003.  After bringing the song to the local radio station every Friday for a whole year, their first song “DMI” recorded on a 19.00 computer microphone began playing on their local radio station KDPS,  The response to the song was phenomenal.  The following year after that they were in regular rotation with song “Cupcakin on muffins”, and a few other songs.  Back then they were known as “The Niggaz of the Corn” (N.O.C.) and D-Wood, being from the Corn states of Iowa you knock that.  They represent.  Forward to present day and witness the re-birth of the Lava Boiz.  L.A.V.A. stand for

The Lava Boiz are 80's babies, they grew up in the NWA era.  Skinny jeans are more for the 90's babies. The Lava Boiz come from a generation of slick talkers, and they are true artist that speak about their surroundings, and how they feel through music.
